"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."

Proverbs 27:17
12 Brothers 3 Days 2 Sessions Theme: Iron

Who We Are

No filters.
No performance.
Just brothers being real.

Brothers Uncut is a space created for young married men to show up as they actually are. Not the version they bring to work, or to church, or to the dinner table. The real one. The one that loves his wife but doesn't always have the words. The one that carries things in silence, questions things in private, and needs other men to push him further than he'd go alone.

Iron sharpens iron — but only when men are willing to let their guard down long enough for the sharpening to happen. That's what this weekend is for. Twelve brothers. Three days. One conversation that keeps going until it means something.

"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."

8:00 pm

Dinner

Burgers on the grill. Sit down and eat together.

After dinner

Opening Prayer

Welcome & Opening Devotion

We open the weekend together in prayer. Brief, grounding, intentional.

"Two are better than one… if either of them falls down, one can help the other up."Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
9:00 pm

Fire Pit

No agenda. Just settling in together around the fire. One question to get things going:

"What's something you've been looking forward to lately?"
Late night

Optional

Head Into Logan

Hunter Street Saloon has live music and stays open late on Fridays. Or we keep the fire going. We'll read the room.

Session 1 of 2 · 60 min · Bunmi Moderates

Who Are You Becoming?

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."1 Corinthians 16:13

Identity & Purpose

  • Who are you beyond your job title, your role as husband and father?
  • What does your wife see in you that you don't see in yourself?
  • Five years from now, what kind of man do you want to be remembered as?
  • What's one thing you're actively building in yourself right now?
11:00 am

Prayer

Prayer Before the Hike

Two minutes before we head out. Ask for safety and continued conversation on the trail.

11:05 am

Group Hike

Everyone goes. Old Man's Cave or Ash Cave, both under 2 miles, both genuinely impressive. Some of the most honest conversations happen walking, one on one, on a trail.

1:00 pm

Lunch

Back at the cabin. Sandwiches, chips. Simple and quick.

2:15 pm

Depart for Adventure Pro Outdoors

Leave the cabin by 2:15 PM. You must be checked in by 2:45 PM — if you're not checked in 15 minutes before the 3:00 PM start, your spot gets rescheduled. No exceptions. It's a 15 minute drive.

3:00–5:00 pm

Main Event

Guided UTV Tour — Adventure Pro Outdoors

Six Polaris RZR Trail side-by-sides through 75+ miles of Wayne National Forest. Two hours, fully guided. Helmets and goggles provided on site. Driver's license required. You will get muddy.

5:00 pm

Back at the Cabin

Shower, rest, and tell stories from the trails.

6:25 pm

Prayer

Grace Before Dinner

6:30 pm

Dinner

Ribeye steaks on the grill. Music. No rushing. Best meal of the weekend.

8:00 pm

Session 2 of 2 · 45–60 min · Bunmi Moderates

What Are You Carrying?

"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."Galatians 6:2

Burdens, Brotherhood & Accountability

  • What are you carrying right now that most people in your life don't know about?
  • What would change if you didn't carry it alone?
  • What do you need from the men in this circle going forward?
  • Who in this room can you call at 2am when things get hard?

Happens at the fire. Looser than the morning. By now the day has already built the trust needed for this conversation to go somewhere real.

Late night

Optional

Logan or Athens

Hunter Street Saloon, Brewery 33, or The Max in Logan. Athens (Ohio University) is 40 minutes away for a livelier scene.

Sunday September 6 · Heading Home
5:30 am

Rise

Early. Necessary. Church is waiting back home.

6:00 am

Toast, sausage, hot chocolate. Quick and easy.

6:30 am

Closing · 15 min

Closing Circle & Prayer

We stand together. One question, one sentence per man:

"What are you taking home from this weekend?"

Proverbs 27:17 is read one final time. We close in prayer and go.

7:00 am

Depart for Indianapolis

3.5 hours back. In Indy by 10am for church.
